The Next Play (nextplayventure.org) is a first-of-a-kind national business plan competition dedicated to sustainability and sports, inviting students from colleges and universities across the United States to pitch their business plans and compete for more than $30,000 in prize money and in-kind support.

The competition has two phases. In the first phase every team will submit a 2-page executive summary and one page of financials. This executive summary round will be judged online beginning March 3, 2015.

The top for-profit business plans and the top non-profit business plans will then be invited to compete April 17-18, 2015, at Davidson College - just north of Charlotte, NC.

This year, the competition is open to student-led ventures from any accredited college or university. This is an exclusive opportunity to pitch to judges from more than 30 organizations, including private companies, non-profits, government agencies and private equity/venture capital firms.
