There are a variety of online magazines that address the needs of parents with children ages 4-18. However, there are not very many that address the needs and interests of parents with children of color . The sites that do address the interests of parents of children of color do little to offer tips on helping children succeed in education. Many sites provide educational activities to enhance learning, but these sites are mostly geared to teachers. Additionally very few sites provide quality educational activities for ages 4-18 in a parent friendly format. Parenting through the School Years will provide the following products and services: • Database of rigorous, engaging and interactive math, reading, science and social studies lessons and assessments. Lessons will be based on grade level, state academic standards/Common Core State Standards and content. • Database of reputable internships, scholarships and camps. • Healthy snacks, lunch and dinner recipes.
