Elevate has a mission to elevate entrepreneurial excellence through an annual faith-based business plan competition among national Christian colleges, universities, and fellowships.
Our vision is to elevate and mobilize a generation of entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders to work for the good of others (Genesis 2:15), use God-given gifts (Romans 12:6), and multiply God’s resources (Luke 19:11-27) for God’s purpose and Kingdom.
Elevate is modeled after the March Madness of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. For-profit startup business plans that will have been selected from a national application pool will pitch in regional final competitions in March 2015 at the East Region (Princeton University/Christian Union), Midwest Region (Wheaton College, IL), South Region (Covenant College, GA) and West Region (Azusa Pacific University, CA) host sites.
The winner of each of the regional finals will be awarded $20,000 and an invitation to compete for the $50,000 grand prize investment in Silicon Valley, CA at this event in April 2015.
The two keynote speakers confirmed to share are Pat Gelsigner, CEO of VMWare and author of The Juggling Act: Bringing Balance to your Faith, Family and Work and Steve Saccone, Pastor of Leadership Development at Highway Church and author of Relational Intelligence: How Leaders Can Expand Their Influcence Through a New Way of Being Smart and Protege: Developing the Next Generation of Church Leaders. And the moderator will be Jenni Catron, Shared Resource Leader of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church and author of Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence.
